Dr Anthony Llewellyn

B Med Sci, MBBS, FRANZCP, MHA, GAICD

Anthony is one of the two co-founders of AdvanceMed.   You may know him as the Career Doctor on YouTube

A Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive medical education and medical human resources experience, Anthony has served over 12 years in various Managerial and Directorial roles, including 4 years as the Medical Director of the Health Education & Training Institute and recently completed a guide into Best Practice for Selection of Trainees in to employment roles for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Anthony is an expert in Medical HR. He has reviewed numerous CVs, chaired and conducted over a thousand job interviews and provided advice to a number of employers and Colleges about selection processes. 


Anthony was born on Mouheneenner land in Hobart (Tasmania) and pays respect to the traditional owners of lands he lives and works on, and elders past and present. His two most important roles in life are proud husband and the proud father of two boys.

Dr Naj Soomro

Dr Naj Soomro is a physician with a research interest in Sports Medicine, Rural Health and Medical Technology. After finishing his MBBS he did a Masters in International Public Health (Major: Injury Prevention) from The University of Sydney. He has received several international scholarships and has collaborations with several sporting organisations including Cricket Australia and FIFA.

His PhD investigated Cricket injury epidemiology in Australia and developed an injury prevention program for cricketers which was a collaborative research project between Cricket Australia, Cricket New South Wales and The University of Sydney. He was also an organising member of Cricket World Cup 2015 conference.

Naj has has taken up his first supervised post in Australia at Wodonga Hospital.

We will be following Naj through his journey in the medical training system in Australia.
